Arsene Wenger has provided a positive fitness update on one of his key players after the 4-1 victory over West Ham at the Emirates stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners boss watched his side secure another home win over the weekend as a flurry of goals in the final ten minutes of the game were enough to see off West Ham in a 4-1 thrashing.
Despite the victory, Arsenal’s hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season have completely been dismissed, making success in the Europa League more of a priority than ever.
Wenger is aware that he will need most of his key players to be available in order to defeat Atletico Madrid and one of those important stars is certainly Jack Wilshere.
The 26-year-old was not able to feature against West Ham on Sunday but the Gunners boss has revealed that Wilshere could make a return from injury on Thursday.
“Jack had a training session today and he looked positive so he has a good chance to be available for Thursday,” the Arsenal manager said
