Good news for Emery as Arsenal confirm this 21-year-old is set for return
The Gunners have confirmed this week that one of Unai Emery’s forgotten defensive options in now back in the picture, heading into the clash with Aston Villa this weekend.
Arsenal have once again been troubled by injury woes so far this season as they look to make up for last season’s abject failure of not finishing in the top four of the Premier League and losing the Europa League final.
One of the players who are yet to feature this season is Dinos Mavropanos, a defender seen very briefly by the Arsenal faithful last term as he was plagued by injuries.
The Greek star will certainly be needed by Emery, who has witnessed new signing David Luiz struggle at centre-back after his arrival from Chelsea.
Much to the relief of the Arsenal boss though, the club’s medical staff has confirmed that Mavropanos is now back in training with the first team squad as he improves his match fitness for a return to competitive action in the coming weeks.
