One of Arsenal’s forgotten first team stars produced a moment of real quality on Monday which will certainly please Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners boss managed to loan out several second string players during the January transfer window.

However, one man who has remained in north London for now is Carl Jenkinson, despite strong reports of a move to Crystal Palace.

The 25-year-old has been struggling to regain his confidence after failing to impress when called upon during Hector Bellerin’s injury lay-off in November.

But after months of misery, Jenkinson reminded Wenger and the Arsenal fans of what he has in his locker by scoring a well-worked last-gasp equalizer for the Under-23 team against Manchester City.
