Away Gunner dressing room

One of Arsenal’s injured first team players is set to finally resume some action on Monday after a long spell on the sidelines.

The Gunners, who have often been troubled by injuries in recent years, have been hit by fewer problems so far this season with only Per Mertesacker, Danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey sidelined at the moment.

However, another Arsenal player in the treatment room whom many had forgotten about is right-back Carl Jenkinson.

The 24-year-old’s second loan spell at West Ham was cut short last season after he suffered a severe knee injury which saw him undergo surgery immediately.

And following 10 months on the sidelines, Jenkinson has finally been given the green light to participate in normal training with the first team squad again.

Jenkinson is yet to make a competitive appearance for Arsenal ever since he scored his first ever goal for the club in the 2-0 win over Norwich City on the final day of the 2013/14 season.
