Good news on Denilson
Denilson may only need a week to recover from yesterday’s impromptu injury.
The 21-year-old suddenly slipped to the ground as the match was being restarted after Everton’s second goal with was later confirmed as a back problem.
Denilson gave away possession in that instance and nearly cost Arsenal going down 3-1 as Almunia was called upon to make a superb save.
But the former Sao Paulo man is aiming not to cost Wenger more injury woes and hopes to return to action in no time.
According to Denilson, he should be available for next Sunday’s trip to Bolton.
“I don’t remember what happened. I was just running with the ball and I felt a pain in my side. I couldn’t run or stop the ball, but I feel okay now,” Denilson said.
“I am going to have a scan and then I will know how long I will be injured, but I think I will be ready for Sunday (at Bolton).”

This is not ‘Le Grove’.
We actually talk about the news.
I cant believe people are calling him “selfish” because of this injury. How retarded can people get.
dont knock Le Grove!
those boys do a quality job.
I am not suggesting otherwise. Just telling the guy something we don’t do here.
i hope he will recover in time for bolton game.We need ti pounce back and return to quality performances. Any news at the transfer front?
Yes, we have had an £18million bid rejected for Mauro Zarate.
i seriously doubt we’d bid 18M for Zarate
source please
I wish Denilson was out for the rest of the season he is such a waste of space.
die
u clearly dont watch arsenal matches cuz if u did u wuld see that denilson has a quality shot
Denilson has to be fit. In Song’s absence he will be essential. The alternatives barely bear thinking about: trying either Ramsey, Diaby, or Nasri there. Maybe they could do a job in the long run, but we don’t want to waste the next couple of months trying to find out. Denilson is a fine player with many attributes. Different to Song but still effective in a less eye catching way. He can pass better than Song, releases the ball quickly keeping moves going, gets tackles and interceptions in, and shoots quite well too. His workrate is phenomenal.
Having so many injuries in our squad and going thru’ this crucial period, we need every single player available. It’s a welcome news to know that Denilson will be back in action soon.
This is good news, it was clear that Arsene was extremely agitated when he went down, it did look very serious.
i just thank GOD Denilson will be back bcos dis d time we really need him
I am just glad for the kid’s safety..I was really and truly scared when I saw him go down. I am glad he is fine!!!
@ james. you called denilson wasted space? well, for you writing something here, i call that wasting space. some people say something cause they want to “thats you”, and some say something cause they have some thing important to say.
It is sad that a good number of Arsenal fans fail to appreciate their player even on a day he does well on the pitch. Denilson is a fantastic player, just that people want to see a Song in him – impossible. He is a different player and will remain so. Every player has strengths and weaknesses, that’s normal. Funny enough, all his critics go quiet when he plays well, or scores!!!
I arrange, impossible to compare the two. Great fortune is to have both, the hope, approves the age, and that is able, together with Diaby, to form one of the strongest centers of the field of the history of the kick… the time will be judge of these words.
For real some people are wasting of space,Denilson it’s a good player & we need him a lots in the team he can’t be like Song…
Denilson has had some good contributions in some games this season. But he´s not right for the Song role…
“wasted space” was it wasted space when he opened the scoring with a cracker of a shot vs. Everton? Was it wasted space when he scored that free kick vs Hull? Grow up moron. I bet in 3 to 4 years this kid will be a beast and will be Gilberto #2.
I love how everyone was on Song’s back about how bad he was and how he was no Flamoney, now everyone is singing his praises. I love the gunners and love the fans but some of you know jack shit about this team and how football is played. If you want to win every game and only care if you win every single game and only care about the starting 11 then go support Real.
I love Arsenal and love the development and way they play, so for all you slackers..go f yourself. True Gunners will support this team and all the players.
