‘Good riddance’,’Never liked him’: Some fans react to Arsenal star agreeing to leave
A number of Arsenal fans have reacted to the news of one of the Gunners’ key midfelders being on his way out of the club despite playing in the game against Bournemouth on Thursday afternoon.
Several players in the Arsenal squad have been bashed by fans this season after a woeful start to the campaign which now sees them sitting outside the top half of the Premier League table.
One of those much-maligned men is Granit Xhaka, who moved to the Emirates stadium in the summer of 2016 after being signed by Arsene Wenger.
The midfielder’s agent, Jose Noguera, has confirmed to the media that his client has agreed to join Hertha Berlin, with his exit from north London now expected to happen.
“Let’s say it like it is: we have agreed terms with Hertha Berlin and would like to go there,” Jose Noguera told Swiss outlet Blick.
“That’s what we told Arsenal club boss Raul Sanllehi and sporting director Edu Gaspar, as well as the new manager Mikel Arteta.”
Xhaka did feature for the Gunners in the draw away to Bournemouth on Thursday, and after hearing about the news of his impending departure, several fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts….
Good riddance to Xhaka
Has lots of pluses to his game but also so many negatives which don’t suit prem. slow physically and lacklustre like when on the ball, although has a great range and passing ability it’s all a bit slow

Best possible scenario in the Xhaka situation is to sell him as soon as the window opens for the price we are demanding. Sign the replacement and move on. He wants to leave, and we shouldn’t stand on his way. No need to prolong the inevitable. We go again.

We definitely need a Box to Box midfield and we can just replace some of Xhaka’s skill set with Guendouzi.

Typical that Arteta talks up Xhaka and he put in a performance to warrant that trust today, then immediately it comes out that he wants to go to Herta. With everything that has gone on he was already one foot out the door, but I just wanted to see Mikel get a tune out of him.
