Arsene Wenger has been handed some positive news on the injury front this week following Saturday’s disappointing defeat against Manchester United.
The Arsenal manager watched his side succumb to their first defeat at the Emirates stadium in the league this season as United scored three ruthless goals on the break.
However, Wenger has seen one of his injured stars finally return to action this week to potentially boost his options in the squad.
Following several months on the sidelines, Gedion Zelalem has now begun training on his own to work on his full recovery.
The American youngster was tipped by many to flourish at the club but injuries and erratic loan spells have impeded his progress so far.
Nonetheless, Zelalem’s return to action could be a boost for the Gunners, heading into the second half of the 2017/18 campaign.
