‘Great player, Double his wages now’: Some fans praise Arsenal player after win

A number of Arsenal fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the man who played a really vital role in the comeback away to West Ham on Monday night.
The Gunners have been criticized for lacking any sort of fighting spirit for much of this season, after falling well off the pace in the long race to finish in the top four of the Premier League.
On Monday, Arsenal’s character was tested once again as they conceded the opening goal in the London derby against West Ham.
Arsenal had not managed to win a game in which they were trailing at halftime, ever since that memorable comeback against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge which saw them win 5-3 on the day.
Thanks to a brilliant and much-needed equalizing goal from Gabriel Martinelli though, the Gunners found a way back into the game against the Hammers.
The Brazilian was featuring in his first ever Premier League start and his show of guts has really impressed the Arsenal faithful.
Martinelli really is a golden piece of talent to have. Great player. Double his wages now! #afc

Gabriel Martinelli is such a talent. Everything was going wrong & he stepped up and scored his first PL goal. Despite the fact that he was playing in Brazil’s fourth tier just 7 months ago, what was his reaction? To pick up the ball immediately & sprint back to the halfway line.

Martinelli is a LEADER.
He plays like a fan would play.
I love how he refuses to hide even though all around him were doing exactly that.
To have that bravery in a new league when no one had any expectations on you is just outstanding.
I won’t forget that.

Martinelli is everything you want in a player. Unbelievable quality and 100% work ethic. It took an 18 year old kid from Brazil on his first PL start to turn things around and get us our first league win in over 2 months. We are so lucky to have him.

Martinelli chases after everything, constantly demanding for the ball, constantly opening up the channel THIS IS THE MENTALITY WE NEED AT THIS CLUB. THIS IS WHAT WILL FIX THIS.
