Gunners face Liverpool test in cup
As a reward for seeing off West Brom on Tuesday, Arsenal’s Carling Cup youngsters have been drawn against Liverpool for a fourth-round tie.
Unlike the past two seasons, Wenger’s kids have been denied a comfortable task for a place in the quarter-finals but like three seasons ago, the young Gunners will have to settle a big showdown with Rafa Benitez’s men at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal stormed the reds impressively with a 6-3 win at Anfield in 2006/07 but are likely to face a sterner test in the tie which will be played on either 27 or 28 October.
Fourth round draw:
Blackburn Rovers v Peterborough United
Manchester City v Scunthorpe United
Tottenham Hotspur v Everton
Barnsley v Manchester United
Chelsea v Bolton Wanderers
Sunderland v Aston Villa
Arsenal v Liverpool
Portsmouth v Stoke City
CHELSEA LOSE 3-1 HA!
CECH SENT OFF HA!
Good news indeed
I knew they were gonna lose or at least draw.
Whenever commentators or presenters say “This team is the only team in the top flight to….not concede….win 100%…etc. The team ALWAYS suffer. It has happened to us all the time. It happened to man city conceding against us and it happened today against Chelsea. THE SYSTEM WORKS!!!!
