The Gunners have been handed some worrying news from Barcelona in their attempt to lure Denis Suarez away from the Camp Nou this month.
With Aaron Ramsey set to say goodbye to the club at the end of the season while a number of key stars remain sidelined, Unai Emery has been given enough reason to pursue a new signing or two in the January transfer window.
This, the Gunners have been keeping tabs on Denis Suarez with some rumours even claiming that a deal to sign the midfielder is close.
However, the latest development from Barcelona – according to the Mirror – is that the La Liga champions have informed Arsenal that they are actually not willing to sell Suarez.
Emery’s side were initially interested in a cut-price deal to purchase the Spaniard but Barcelona’s new stance means a loan switch for the player is the only possible move that Arsenal may get done.
