Arsenal have finally wrapped up a transfer deal which had been rumoured to be in the process of being completed for much of this summer.

New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been much busier in the transfer market this year than Arsene Wenger was during last summer.

After securing the additions of Stephan Lichsteinener and Bernd Leno, there always a hint of more signing being on the way for the Gunners.

And on Monday, the club announced that a deal to sign Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund had also been completed.

The experienced defender will be moving to the Emirates stadium after several weeks of transfer speculation.

According to the Guardian, Sokratis’ move will cost the Gunners a bargain fee of only £17.7m.

The 30-year-old will be reunited with the likes of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan whom he played with at Dortmund.
