Arsenal are in search of another attacking midfielder following continued uncertainty surrounding the future of Mesut Ozil.
The Germany international has just over a year remaining on his current deal at the club but he is yet to accept any offers to extend his contract.
As a result, Arsene Wenger has postponed talks with Ozil until the summer and according to reports, a replacement for the former Real Madrid star has been identified as well.
Metro via the Times are claiming that Arsenal have moved into the race to secure the signing of Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan.
The Turkish star was strongly linked with a move to the Emirates stadium years ago after his impressive performances at Euro 2008.
The new report is suggesting that Arsenal are prepared to rekindle their interest in the 30-year-old by submitting an offer in the region of $31.2 million (£25 million) for his services.
Turan is also believed to be considering the possibility of leaving Barcelona after playing a bit-part role since moving to the Camp Nou in 2015.
