While Nacho Monreal got most of the praises, another Arsenal defender received mixed reviews for his display in the 3-1 win over West Ham in Saturday’s London derby at the Emirates stadium.
The Gunners were left with a lot of work to do following two straight defeats in the Premier League ahead of Saturday’s London derby.
Losses against Manchester City and Chelsea had landed Arsenal in a very unfamiliar position in the Premier League table as they stayed very close to the relegation zone.
However, the Gunners did manage to secure their first victory of the new campaign as they came back from a goal behind to defeat West Ham 3-1 at the Emirates stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The match saw Hector Bellerin start at right-back once again and his display, which witnessed him set up the third goal for Danny Welbeck, attracted mixed reviews from the Arsenal faithful….
Credit to Bellerin, I've been critical of him, and today he was really poor at times, but he contributed to two goals.
If he can contribute to two goals whilst playing poorly, can't wait until his form picks up.

We usually criticize Bellerin but he has improved offensively this season. Just need to sort of his defense. 2 assist today

Bellerin did well going forward but he's absolutely catastrophic defensively. Could have cost us at least 3 goals already.

Bellerin defensively, is awful. But in attack, he is a real threat.#ARSWHU

Bellerin has a tough afternoon, but he was decent going forward, and was probably our biggest threat. The lack of protection needs addressing. He can’t be expected to attack and defend at that intensity for 90 minutes week in, week out without being exposed. #ARSWES
