With the January transfer window now just around the corner, transfer rumours and agent remarks are dominating the headlines again.
Arsene Wenger’s most notable bit of business in the summer saw him secure the signing of two players during the final week of the transfer window.
One of the stars from that double deal is Lucas Perez who opted to leave Deportivo La Coruna to join the Gunners in a $21 million transfer deal.
The Spaniard, who has registered two goals so far for his new club, has rarely featured for Arsenal, following Wenger’s decision to deploy Alexis Sanchez at centre-forward.
That has resulted in rumours suggesting Perez is a target for a host of clubs in a possible loan deal which could see him leave in January, only months after moving to the Emirates stadium.
However, the striker’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez Llovelle has dismissed those reports, insisting Perez will see out his first season season at Arsenal at least.
“He’s not playing because he’s injured,” Llovelle told calciomeracto.com.
“He has no plans to leave, Arsenal and [Arsene] Wenger are very happy with him.
“Inter or Napoli? Not at the moment. Now he’s just thinking about Arsenal. He was playing, but then he injured his ankle and he’s been out for a month.”
