Highlights: Arsenal vs Partizan Belgrade
Arsenal qualified for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League as Group H runners-up following a 3-1 win over Partizan Belgrade.
However, the Gunners were not entirely convincing on a bitter evening at the Emirates and looked like a side low on confidence for large parts of the game.
Partizan did not offer much in attack and got most of their players behind the ball, although they went behind as Robin van Persie put away a penalty on the half-hour mark after he was felled in the area by Marko Jovanovic.
A deflected effort from Cleo levelled the scores after the break, only for substitute Theo Walcott and in-form Samir Nasri to secure the victory with two fine goals in the space of four minutes, before Bacary Sagna was shown a straight red card for a last-man trip.
Arsenal will now face Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Schalke in the first knockout round of the competition, as Shakhtar Donetsk advanced as group winners following their triumph over Braga.

do arsenal fans care who we face?
If we face someone like Real or Barca and get knocked out then we weren’t going to win the Cl anyway so who cares if we weren’t able to reach the quarters.
The difference is the money you receive nothing more
and right now arsenal fans care more about trophies than money?
if getting knocked out early means we have better chances with the league and FA cup then I will take those two overr the money another round of CL would have made
what about you guys?
Wenger is obsessed with the Champions League!
pos yo tambien stoy obsecionado con el arsenal de q ya gane un trofeo pronto ,por q un club como el asenal no puede star sin ganar nada durante 5 o mas anos .
com on asenal you cant do itttttttttttttttttt
We need to see change now cos Wenger HE KNOWS BOTH TEAM and he had alot of experience on it, so we need to pick up The great Arsenal.
Can only hope the REAL ARSENAL(without injuries) turn out for the nxt round. What has happened to A A he seemed willing enough but a man without strength??
Arsenal’s priorities are to maintain their top form in the EPL and win at least one trophy in England this year, regardless what transpires.
The CL trophy is a great feather in any team’s hat but Barca are so strong this year that it is almost a foregone conclusion about who will be in the final. Real are also very strong so it could be an all Spanish final this year unless one of the two lose form against their opponents in the next rounds.
Strangely enough it could be an all England final if the Tiny Totts do well and the remaining three English teams surprise everyone…it wouldn’t be the first time this has happened. I would LOVE to see an Arsenal versus the spudsuckers CL Final with the Gunners taking it at Wembley!
