One of those new recruits of course was French youngster Matteo Guendouzi, who agreed to move to north London from Paris Saint-Germain.
The teenager showed glimpses of his potential during pre-season as the Gunners rehearsed for the new campaign.
And after only two competitive games in an Arsenal shirt under his belt, Guendouzi appears to have won more admirers in England.
One of them is definitely former Gunner Ian Wright, who has jokingly praised the midfielder for being his ‘hero’ after his display against Chelsea over the weekend.
You’re already my hero @MatteoGuendouzi keep it going ??????❤️❤️❤️
