Alexis Sanchez is now a Gunner.

Rumours of the Chile international’s move from Barcelona had been no secret this summer but the deal which took a while to complete has now been confirmed.

Sanchez has committed his future to Arsenal for the next four years after signing a contract which is reportedly worth £140,000 a week. The 25-year-old was a fan-favourite at Barcelona where his departure was allowed only because of the arrival of Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.

The World Cup star cost Arsenal an excess of £35 million, making him the second most expensive signing in the club’s history, behind Mesut Ozil. Alexis Sanchez is known for his high work ethic, humility and temperament on the pitch but his new shirt number is yet to be confirmed by the Gunners.
