Arsene Wenger has given a positive update on his squad’s fitness ahead of Sunday’s trip to Manchester City.
Injuries have threatened to affect Arsenal’s pursuit of the Premier League title as the absence of Shkodran Mustafi saw them lose 2-1 at Everton on Tuesday.
But ahead of this weekend’s important fixture, the Arsenal manager has revealed that there were no new injuries from the midweek affair.
“For the City game we should have approximately the same squad who went to Everton.” Wenger said on Friday
“Nobody’s back – Ramsey’s not back. He is the closest to coming back and we have some knocks and bruises but they should all be available again.”
According to the Gunners boss, Ramsey, who missed the games against Stoke City and Everton, is finally set to return within the next couple of days.
“Next week I believe he should be back in the squad in normal training.” he added
With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alex Iwobi currently struggling to cement a place in the starting line-up, the imminent return of Aaron Ramsey will be a boost to Arsenal’s attack.
