Italian journalist claims 32-year-old is ‘close’ to signing for Arsenal, adding to Pepe move
Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri has boldly claimed that another midfielder is close to moving to the Emirates stadium this summer.
Unai Emery started off this summer very quietly as many grew frustrated with the club’s lack of movement in the transfer market, while rivals strengthened their squads.
Ever since the failed attempt to sign Wilfried Zaha, Arsenal have changed their ways, signing three players ahead of the expected arrival of Nicolas Pepe – as reported by ESPN.
But perhaps, more strange than anything else is a report claiming that Sami Khedira is now close to joining the Gunners.
The former Real Madrid star has been linked with Arsenal in the past, but very few fans would have expected the club to make a move for him, heading into this summer.
Nonetheless, Palmeri is claiming that the 32-year-old is close to moving to north London, adding to the pending deal for Nicolas Pepe.
