Former Premier League star Jamie Carragher has added his thoughts on the current situation of Arsene Wenger, after what occurred at the Emirates stadium on Thursday.

The Gunners have not had a season to remember so far, as they continue to distance themselves from rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United in the race for the top four places due to several dissapointing results in the Premier League.

Following the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Thursday evening, which comes on the back of a loss by the same scoreline at Wembley stadium in Sunday’s League Cup final, many have made it clear that it is time for changes to be made at the Emirates stadium.

And according to Jamie Carragher, he would now like to see the club make an announcement confirming the departure of Arsene Wenger, even before the season is brought to an end.

The former Liverpool defender did express his admiration for the Arsenal boss and even revealed that his wish is to see Wenger win the Europa League and say a warm goodbye.

“Make the decision now and try and give this fellow a sending off…” Carragher said
