Johan Djourou makes return to action
Johan Djourou made his first appearance of the 2009/10 season during Arsenal’s final day meeting with Fulham.
The Swiss international had been sidelined all year with a knee injury he suffered just three days before the campaign began at Everton in August.
Out-of-contract Mikael Silvestre – who might have played his last game in an Arsenal shirt – hobbled off with an injury after 60 minutes to allow Djourou’s season debut.
The promising 23-year-old is likely to play a key part next term for Arsenal should he stay fit with William Gallas’ future still uncertain.
fck djourou hes not the answer hes an accident waitin 2 happen
anto ur a cnt n a twt
Djorou is one of those players who should be shown the way out.He has not been mentioned because he has been out of action.I am miffed at his eeturn at this time because it gives STINGO the excuse not to buy players.only his ilk to crumble at the slightest touch.Arsenal injury problems are such that heal during off season and on again.
a very good defender i will like to see him pair tv
DJ should stay at arsenal, and then at make him and campbell as back up to the first choice CB pair.
Wenger should still buy another top notch defender to partner TV. Maybe even 2 top notch defenders. Otherwise, buy one and promote Nordveit, given that he did performed marvellously at his loaned out club now.
Wenger should also buy a defensive midfielder, and alongside Song to provide cover for Cesc Fabregas. Diaby shall be the back up to either of them. Other wise, if the defensive player is really good, then he can play alone in the midfield and Song can drop back as a CB if injury mounts.
GK is a must!!! Almunia and Fabianski sucks. I would have been happier if mannone plays through out the season.
Therefore wenger needs to buy AT LEAST – 1 GK, 1 CB and 1 DM!!!!! (Chamakh not counted as he is FREE!!)
Hw can you rule Djourou out when none of you have ever seen him play. Wenger has to keep him coz he still has faith in him. You all should too.
