Arsenal are agreeing transfer deal to sell 29-year-old – Journalist
Arsenal are reported to be on the brink of a tranafer deal which will see one of the first team squad’s out-of-favour players leave the club before the transfer window is closed this month.
Unai Emery has been very active in the transfer market so far this summer after completing the signings of several players before the start of pre-season earlier last month.
The next move for the new Arsenal manager will be to offload players who are no longer of any use to the squad going forward and Lucas Perez could soon be sold.
According to journalist Matt Scott, the Gunners are now agreeing a deal with West Ham to sell the Spanish striker.
Arsenal are set to gain only £3million from the sale of Perez, who moved to the Emirates stadium for a much higher fee almost two years ago as a panic buy by former boss Arsene Wenger.
All in, Arsenal paid >£20m to take Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruña in 2016. He scored once in 11 appearances. He’s now off to West Ham as their 3rd-choice, FA Cup/Carabao Cup striker. They’re paying Arsenal £3m, +£1m more in potential bonuses. #AFC #Arsenal #thankyouArsene
