Journalist: Arsenal working on ‘complicated’ deal for £180,000-a-week star to sign new contract
The Telegraph journalist Matt Law is claiming that Arsenal are working on a deal which would see one of Unai Emery’s most vital players extend his stay at the club.
The Gunners were not able to secure a spot in the top four of the Premier League last season but there was no question about the form of star striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.
The former Borussia Dortmund star finished the season as the club’s top scorer in only his first full campaign at the Emirates stadium.
Aubameyang has continued his superb form this term, scoring the winning goals in both games so far against Newcastle and Burnley.
And according to the Telegraph journalist, Matt Law, the Gunners are set to offer a ‘complicated’ reward to the striker, who is already earning £180,000-a-week wages in north London.
Considering the fact that Aubameyang’s prolific displays could see him attract the interest of rival clubs, it is certainly important for Arsenal to try and renew his contract as soon as possible.
Raul Sanellhi is at it again as Arsenal work on a complicated reward for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which would include a massive Champions League qualification bonus. Optimism on both sides over an agreement #afc https://t.co/86PKjfkAK5
