Journalist claims 26-year-old is ‘willing’ to engineer move to Arsenal
Journalist Lassana Camara has suggested that arguably Arsenal’s primary target in the transfer market this summer is ‘willing’ to engineer a move to the Emirates stadium.
The Gunners are now expecting the departure of Dani Ceballos, who is due to return to his parent club Real Madrid when his loan spell in the Premier League is completed.
As a result, there will be a void to fill in midfield and Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey has continued to be linked with a move to the Emirates stadium after making a name for himself in Spain.
Indeed, according to Lassana Camara – who happens to be a reputable source for African football news, having worked for the BBC and France24 – the 26-year-old is ‘willing’ to speak with the Gunners over a move to north London.

THE BOTTOM LINE
Thomas Partey would certainly be a useful addition if Mikel Arteta was to succeed in securing his services. Considering the inconsistent performances from players like Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi in the holding midfield area, Partey would be an instant upgrade.
The Ghanaian’s performances in Atletico’s recent win over Liverpool in the Champions League showed what he has to offer. Nonetheless, the physical side of midfield is not the only area that needs improvement from Arteta.
Whether Partey is signed or not, the Arsenal boss has to bring in a creative midfielder as well because the Ghanaian is definitely not the playmaker this team desperately needs to replace the aging Mesut Ozil.
