Journalist confirms more injury blows for two key Arsenal stars on Sunday
Injury news journalist Ben Dinnery has confirmed that there are two more fitness blows for Unai Emery to worry about, as the international break edges closer to an end this week.
The Gunners maintained their unbeaten record at the Emirates stadium this season as they came back from two goals down to secure a draw against bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last Sunday.
There were no major injury concerns for Unai Emery in the immediate aftermath of that game but it looks as though the international break has presented a couple of fitness worries for the Arsenal boss to sweat about, heading into the clash with Watford.
In addition to Nicolas Pepe’s injury, the Gunners are now facing the possibility of being without midfield duo Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka.
According to journalist Ben Dinnery, the pair have sustained injuries while on duty for their countries and they are now set for medical assessment.
Granit Xhaka (Achilles) and Lucas Torreira (knock) will be assessed after picking up injuries while representing their respective national teams. #SUI #URU #AFC
