Julian Draxler has spoken about his future in France amid speculation that he was on the radar of Arsenal for much of the summer.
The Germany international was frequently linked with a move to the Emirates stadium before he joined Paris Saint-Germain back in January.
And Julian Draxler’s name was certainly brought up again during the summer transfer window as the Gunners searched for a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
However, the transfer move never materialised despite reports that Arsene Wenger had made enquiries about the player.
According to Draxler, the arrival of marquee signings at Paris Saint-Germain convinced him to remain at the club.
“I am greatly looking forward to playing with Neymar and Mbappe — but, if players are bought for €222m or €180m, they have an advantage on paper.” the German attacker said
“But I am confident — that’s why I didn’t think about leaving Paris.”
