Kolo Toure grabs his new Man. City shirt
On Monday, Kolo Toure was modeling Arsenal’s new away kit with hopes for the new season as bright as ever.
Two days later, the Ivorian leaves fond memories of once reliable defending and admirable professionalism in north London to help hold up a new shirt only as bright as the sky.
Kolo left as the only remaining regular from the famous “Invincibles” squad of 2003/04 and is the one who deserves all the blessings from those he served so loyally…until today perhaps.
Lame!
The only thing that will make me feel better about these is if Mark Hughes can’t control his team, and if Ady score under 10 goals.
Someone made a good point the other day on another blog, we didn’t win anything with Toure or Ady the last 4 years so what would have changed this year? Maybe Wegner is onto something by getting the locker room cancers out of the Em.
Man i cant stand Hughes. That guy has had the same haircut for the past 20 years. Its like somebody has shorn a sheep and dropped it direct on the prat’s head.
As for Kolo, legend, and sad to see him go. But looking at things without sentiment, he’s way past his best and the deal is incredible. 16m for a guy with a year on his deal, approaching 30 and who hasnt been anywhere near his best for 18 months.
Christ Man City are mugs…, truly a case of more money than sense! 100m spent and the best player they have to show for that is Adebayor, kinda puts it into perspective really. You saw what Jose did with his 100m, compare that to Hughes. As much as i hate Jose, the guy knows how to build a squad, Mark Hughes doesnt have a clue. 19m for lescot…….! Silly season indeed.
Absolutely spot on mate.
By the way, when I began to read the first sentence of your post, I thought you had another reason to not be able to stand Hughes…hehe 😛
LOL @ J comment about Mark Hughes hair hahahahha
