Arsenal’s assistant captain Laurent Koscielny has honestly reflected on what happened on Saturday in yet another frustrating visit to Stamford Bridge.
Arsene Wenger’s men conceded three more goals to Chelsea after already allowing Watford to score twice in the opening 14 minutes during Tuesday’s defeat.
There have been negative reactions from fans and pundits following the 3-1 loss to Antonio Conte’s men and it appears that some of the Arsenal players actually agree with the criticism leveled at them.
According to Koscielny, lack of teamwork and togetherness, something Wenger has ironically praised his side for possessing in the past, was actually a problem for the group of players who represented the club this weekend.
“I don’t think we played very well together in the same way, it was more one player after one player.” the Frenchman said in his post-match interview after the disappointing result on Saturday.
“I think we’d have had a lot of chances if we’d played quickly with our passing, on the flank we had to combine to have some opportunities.
“We did it in the first half. During a big game, if you don’t take your opportunities, it’s difficult to win the game. We need to be more efficient in both boxes.”
