Lucas Torreira breaks silence with this message about Arsenal after transfer exit
Lucas Torreira took to social media to send out a message to the Gunners and their fans on Saturday, less than a week after his loan exit to Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day.
After Unai Emery was appointed as the successor to Arsene Wenger two years go, the Spaniard decided to secure the services of Lucas Torreira as he prepared for his first campaign in charge at the Emirates stadium.
Torreira, despite displaying his potential on certain occasions, has failed to retain a consistent place in the Gunners’ starting eleven ever since his move to north London.
With the 24-year-old featuring very rarely under Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal boss decided to send him out on loan to Atletico Madrid on Monday as Thomas Partey went in the opposite direction.
Torreira, who had been known to be unhappy with life under Arteta, has still kept his professionalism and sent out a heartfelt message to the club and its fans, following his loan switch to Spain.
It was an absolute privilege playing for Arsenal these last two seasons!
Thanks a lot!
We catch up soon!
