Gary Neville has expressed his thoughts on how Arsenal performed against Manchester City this weekend.

The Gunners surrendered all the three points after taking an early lead for back-to-back games as a second-half comeback from City inflicted a 2-1 defeat on them

Former Manchester United star Neville has often been applauded in the past for giving pertinent analysis on teams following most games.

And after hearing Arsene Wenger praise his side for having a ‘strong mentality’, the Sky Sports pundit made it clear the Frenchman was wrong.

“I disagree with his point about mentality being strong, I don’t think it is,” Neville said “There was a huge physical drop for Arsenal in the second half, I’m not quite sure where that has come from.

“They just looked completely lethargic, they were walking around the pitch, in such a huge game.

“Initially I thought it was a tactical thing, them not pressurising [in the second half], but they didn’t pressurise at all. They physically just dropped in the second half.”
