Arsene Wenger has confirmed that at least one first team star will no longer play a part in this season.
The Gunners have been troubled by injuries to key players over the years and that trend has certainly continued to some extent this campaign.
Santo Cazorla, whose last appearance was against Ludogorets in the 6-0 Champions League victory back in October, was scheduled to be back in action by March.
However, after a series of set-backs on his road to recovery, the 32-year-old, who recently extended his contract with the club, is struggling to redeem his fitness.
When ask if Cazorla would play again this season, Arsene Wenger confirmed the Spaniard will be sidelined for the final two months of the season.
“Unfortunately no. I think the season is over for him.” the Arsenal manager said at his press-conference on Thursday
