Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has revealed what he believes Arsenal’s advantage over the Blues could be in the upcoming clash in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

For much of the second half of this season, the Gunners looked to be on course to finish in the top four of the Premier League to secure an automatic spot in the group stage of the Champions League next season.

Arsenal had a golden chance to finish as high as third in the table but an absolutely horrific run of results, which started with a defeat at home to Crystal Palace, saw them fall behind in the race for a top four finish along with Manchester United.

After a 1-1 draw at home to Brighton, Arsenal’s hopes of securing Champions League football through the Premier League were completely done and dusted.

Due to all of that, the Gunners’ only hope now is to win the Europa League in order to qualify for the Champions League next season.

And that is why Sarri belives Arsenal will have more motovation than his side to win on Wednesday night.

“It’s a risk, of course. On the other hand we have to consider the pressure” he told the official Chelsea website

“In this moment we risk having less motivation than our opponent, but probably they have more pressure than us. There is a positive and a negative.

“We didn’t want to play this final for the Champions League. We wanted the Champions League through the Premier League, and then we wanted to win a trophy. The final is very important for us, and our feeling is we deserve to win a trophy.”
