Journalist Ian McGarry  has revealed that one of the Gunners’ key players is now yearning for an exit, following the club’s turbulent start to the campaign which sees them seemingly on course to miss out on a Premier League top four finish yet again.

Former Arsenal boss Unai Emery inherited a couple of talented players from Arsene Wenger reign after taking over from the Frenchman in May last year.

Following the sacking of the Spaniard last month, the Gunners’ awful form has continued, prompting the likelihood of star striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang leaving the club.

The ex-Dortmund star has been in superb form for Arsenal ever since his move to the club in the winter of 2018, but the team’s worrying results appears to have affected his commitment.

According to journalist Ian McGarry, the representatives of Aubameyang have actually told the club that their client no longer wants to remain at the Emirates stadium.

“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s representatives have made it very clear to Arsenal that their client wants to leave Arsenal in January,” McGarry said, as quoted by the Daily Star

“Aubameyang has the type of personality that he would certainly agitate for a move if that were the case that he needed to.

“There’s definite interest from Real Madrid and also Barcelona for the 30-year-old who is the second top scorer in the Premier League.”
