Arsenal are wrapping up their second notable deal of the January transfer window ahead of the weekend’s trip to Swansea City.

Arsene Wenger allowed a few players to move on in search of more playing time elsewhere during the summer as the likes of Jack Wilshere, Wojciech Szczesny and Joel Campbell were sent out on loan.

And it now appears that another fringe player will be added to that list following the news that Jon Toral is closing in on a Rangers switch.

The 21-year-old had been on loan at Granada so far this season, but after rarely featuring for the Spanish side, his spell was brought to an end this week.

And according to the Daily Star, Toral has now arrived in Scotland to undergo a medical before completing a six-month loan move to Rangers.

The news of the Spaniard’s arrival in Glasgow was broken by Sky Sports on Tuesday after Wenger had confirmed the midfielder was on the brink of a temporary departure following the 2-1 win over Preston North End.
