Mesut Ozil finally breaks his silence after missing Liverpool game

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has finally broken his silence after being left out of the Arsenal squad for the last two games in the Premier League.
The German midfielder did not really have a memorable 2018 as he retired from international duty on a bad note following his country’s surprising early exit from the World Cup.
On club level, it has been a relatively frustrating year as well after Arsenal’s failure to finish in the top four last season before the arrival of Unai Emery.
The new Arsenal manager has an uneasy relationship with Ozil, who has been left out of the squad for several games in the last two months.
Emery named another Arsenal team which was missing Ozil once again on Saturday as Liverpool went on to thrash the Gunners 5-1 at Anfield.
It was later revealed that the 30-year-old’s absence was only because of a knee injury he suffered after the trip to Brighton last week.
Over the past couple of days, there have been rumours which have suggested that Ozil could be sold by the club in the January transfer window.
However, the midfielder has moved to reassure the fans that he is indeed injured and working on making a return.
Positive start into 2019 for us!❤ Congrats Gunners!⚽👏🏼 Nevertheless it was hard for me to not being on the pitch due to my injury today. I definitely want to help the team as soon as possible again. Wishing all of you a happy, healthy and satisfying 2019! 💪🏼💥 #YaGunnersYa #M1Ö
