Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil took to Twitter to respond to his critics ahead of Sunday’s clash with Everton in the Premier League.

The Germany international has endured a stop-start season so far after refusing to sign a new contract at the club ahead of the new campaign.

Ozil’s decision to not extend his future at the Emirates stadium appears to have affected his form which started to decline during the second half of last season.

The former Real Madrid star came on as a substitute in last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Watford which saw him miss a golden opportunity to score moments before Arsenal conceded a penalty-kick.

Ozil has received some serious criticism from fans and pundits following that disappointing result with Arsene Wenger’s men slipping further behind League leaders Manchester City.

But the 29-year-old has certainly heard about the bashing directed at him and here was his message for those critics on social media…
