Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has taken to Twitter to react to how the World Cup final went after watching the big game on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was named in the Germany squad which traveled to Russia this summer to defend the trophy they won in Brazil four years ago.

However, the tournament did not go too well for Ozil whose German side crashed out in the group stage, after losing 2-0 to North Korea in their third game.

Ozil was left to watch some of his old teammates like Luka Modric and Raphael Varane play on Sunday in a much-anticipated – yet unexpected – clash between France and Croatia at the Luzhniki stadium.

The match saw France score two quick-fire goals from Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe in the second half to add to their advantage from the first 45 minutes as they went on to win 4-2.

And after watching the game, Ozil took to Twitter to congratulate the Frenchmen…
