Michael Owen has expressed his opinion about new Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette after his first three months at the club.

The 26-year-old agreed to move to the Emirates stadium from Olympique Lyonnais in early July following several months of transfer speculation.

Lacazette has managed to score four goals in the Premier League so far, catching the eye of many with his sharp finishing.

And even though Michael Owen does not consider the Frenchman to be the most versatile of strikers, the former Liverpool star has labelled him as an outstanding finisher.

“I think he is a goal-scorer, as opposed to an all-rounder,” Owen was quoted as saying by The Sport Review

“He’s instinctive and that’s what you need to be if you’re going to score multiple goals.

“He scored 37 goals for Lyon last season and his finishing is outstanding.

“He’s got a few strings to his bow. He can score headers and with either foot.

“He’s just got one thing on his mind and he makes the right decisions.”
