Michael Owen is apparently not expecting much from Arsenal in Sunday’s showdown against Manchester City.
Arsene Wenger’s men are preparing for their second consecutive away game after the disappointing trip to Everton on Tuesday evening.
Arsenal’s last visit to the Etihad stadium ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw which saw them come from behind on two occasions.
The Gunners have only lost twice in the Premier League this season but Michael Owen expects them to be defeated for a third time on Sunday.
According to the former Liverpool star, the absence of key players like Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan will not be enough to cost Pep Guardiola’s side the three points.
“The Gunners are unbeaten in their last six games against City but I fancy the hosts to keep the points at the Etihad in a massive game in the title race.” he said as quoted by the Sports Review
“City have injuries and suspensions to contend with but there is enough quality in their squad to cope, and they can edge what promises to be a thriller.”
