Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has also taken to social media to react to the latest deal which the Gunners have completed in the summer transfer window.
Following the appointment of Unai Emery, the Gunners have made a host of changes as the club looks to avoid another season without a place in the Champions League.
For much of this summer, there had been rumours about Arsenal possibly reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over a deal to sign Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
And on Monday, the club finally announced that the 30-year-old had indeed been purchased for a deal worth around £17.7m according to the Guardian.
Sokratis’ move to the Emirates stadium will reunite him with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, whom he played with at Dortmund.
And after hearing about the news of the Greek defender signing for Arsenal, Henrikh Mkhitaryan also took to social media to hand the new Gunner a welcome message.
