There are growing concerns over the fitness of one of Arsenal’s key players after a recent photo of him emerged.

Arsene Wenger’s side has been troubled by injuries once again this season as they remain well behind league leaders Chelsea.

Arsenal’s relatively consistent run of results at the start of the season, in response to the opening day defeat to Liverpool, began to change after Santi Cazorla went down with an injury in October.

The Spanish playmaker has spent the past four months out of action as he recovers from a series of problems, including an ankle surgery he underwent in December.

Cazorla was expected to be on the verge of a return to training by now but the latest photo of him is indicating otherwise.

Spotted during a night out over the weekend, the 32-year-old was still wearing a slipper on one foot, implying that he is not yet in good enough condition to even kick.

Wenger already stated last month that Cazorla had suffered another setback in his fight for fitness before the campaign ends.

At this rate, the midfielder’s expected return date in March could be postponed again, jeopardizing his chances of playing again this season.
