There is a new name on Arsenal’s list of injured players, heading into the late March international break.
The Gunners recorded yet another defeat in the Premier League on Saturday as West Brom took advantage of a sluggish performance from the away side to win 3-1.
Last weekend’s trip to the Hawthorns also saw Arsenal deal with more injury problems as Petr Cech was substituted after only 38 minutes of action.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper, who has been criticized by some fans for his recent form, suffered a calf injury which saw him replaced by David Ospina.
And according to a report by the Mirror, Cech is set to miss the next four weeks following a scan he underwent this week.
As a result, the 34-year-old is now certain to miss the important clash with Manchester City at the Emirates stadium right after the international break.
The news of Cech’s injury lay-off comes after Lucas Perez was also ruled out for the next three weeks due to a thigh problem.
