As Tottenham and Arsenal struggle to keep key players fit for this weekend’s clash, one more player has been added to the list of men likely to miss the much-anticipated fixture.
The Gunners, who prepared for Sunday’s showdown by defeating Ludogorets 3-2 in a dramatic affair yesterday, have fitness concerns over at least four players as Hector Bellerin, Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal remain unconfirmed to participate.
However, Arsenal’s rivals may have been hit with a worse injury blow as the clash at the Emitares stadium approaches.
Maurio Pochetino was left with more to complain about as an injury to Mousa Dembele forced the midfielder off to be replaced by Vincent Janssen on Wednesday.
Tottenham went on to lose the Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 courtesy of a second-half goal from Kevin Kampl.
The absence of the often inspiring Dembele is likely to affect Spurs who are already uncertain over whether star striker Harry Kane will be involved or not.
Tottenham’s options have also been weakened by the loss of French international Moussa Sissoko who is serving a three match ban for elbowing Bournemouth’s Harry Arter.
