New Gunner? – Player arrives at Arsenal after club’s invitation
Ahead of the January transfer window, Arsenal’s scouting and coaching staff appears to be considering the idea of adding new faces to either the first team or the club’s youth ranks.
The Gunners have been known for giving unfancied or unknown players a chance to impress during Arsene Wenger’s long reign in north London.
Over the years, players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Yaya Toure, who went on to represent different clubs of course, have been handed a trial at Arsenal.
And according to reports, the club’s tradition will continue this year following the news that former Reading player Dan Lincoln has been accepted to undergo a trial at the club.
The goalkeeper is seen for now as a potential addition to the club’s youth team but at 21, Lincoln could be drafted into the first team should he manage to impress.
We wish Dan, who was released by Reading in the summer of 2015, all the best in the next few weeks as he looks to take advantage of a rare opportunity.
