BBC journalist David Ornstein has revealed that Mikel Arteta is not the only man who has been approached about the currently vacant Arsenal job.
Arsene Wenger was in charge of an Arsenal game for the last time on Sunday as a goal from Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang was enough to beat Huddersfield Town 1-0 on the road.
Following that final game of the 2017/18 campaign, the Gunners will be in search of a new manager.
Several big names have been linked with a north London switch as Mikel Arteta continues to lead the race.
However, BBC journalist David Ornstein has revealed that Arsenal have also made contact with another target.
According to Ornstein, Arsenal have spoken to former Gunner Patrick Vieira about possibly replacing Arsene Wenger.
It remains unclear whether the Frenchman will be able to take on the Arsenal job but it certainly is a sign that the club is in search of a younger manager.
