Arsenal have managed to secure another deal this week as new manager Unai Emery continues to take care of his priorities before pre-season even kicks off.
The Gunners have been bashed by many fans and pundits in recent years for failing to act fast enough during the summer transfer window.
However, following the departure of Arsene Wenger last month, the Gunners appear to have tweaked their policy with Stephan Lichsteiner already signed so far as deals for Sokratis and Lucas Torreira edge closer to completion.
On Friday morning, the club took care another important deal as Granit Xhaka agreed to sign a new contract at the Emirates stadium.
Following rumours of Torreira’s imminent move, many have suggested that Xhaka’s role in the squad might no longer be the same, but the club has moved to reward him with a new long-term contract.
The 25-year-old, who has been pocketing £90,000-a-week wages, is likely to have received a pay rise has he looks to improve his performances next season.
