Another Arsenal player has agreed a new deal with the club, before the team’s final pre-season clash with Lazio this weekend.
Unai Emery has been keen on retaining the services players who have more to offer the club under his management.
The new Arsenal boss has already rewarded the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Granit Xhaka with new deals and another man is set to be added to that list of names.
And on Friday, the Gunners confirmed that Alex Iwobi had also agreed a new deal at the Emirates stadium.
The Nigerian international was part of his country’s squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Iwobi’s new deal is set to extend his contract by two more years and therefore, he will be committed to the club until 2022.
The young midfielder, who has attracted the interest of Lazio, AC Milan and Everton, did receive criticism for his erratic performances during last season.
