Arsenal confirmed what is likely to be their final move in the transfer market this summer on Friday.

The Gunners ended the summer transfer window in exciting fashion as a double deal which saw Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez arrive from La Liga was secured.

However, Arsene Wenger was waiting on the green-light for one more loan move after sending out Joel Campbell, Jack Wilshere and Takuma Asano out temporarily for the remainder of the new campaign.

Kelechi Nwakali, who joined Arsenal from Nigeria’s Diamond Academy, was meant to join Dutch side MVV Maastricht after failing to receive his English work-permt.

But a delay in being granted a Dutch work-permit as well saw the 18-year-old remain in London beyond the transfer deadline.

Fortunately, Arsenal have now confirmed that the highly-rated youngster has received approval to play in Holland.

“With his Dutch work permit now granted, the young midfielder heads to Maastricht to gain first team experience. He will join up with new Gunners teammate Stefan O’Connor, who is also on loan with the Eerste Divisie side.” a statement from the club said

“We wish Kelechi well for the season ahead.”
