The Danish striker is out of favour at the club – only making a cameo against Liverpool – and according to his national team coach, his Arsenal career is likely to come to an end soon.

Since the turn of the year, the 23-year-old has constantly reiterated his will to leave the club in search of more action elsewhere, but the Dane is yet to find a club that suits his demands.

Bendtner has been linked to a number of clubs near his country, from German sides Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen to his hometown club move FC Copenhagen.

And as he regroups his squad ahead of the international break, Denmark coach Morten Olsen has hinted that Arsenal’s want-away striker is close to an exit.

“The team’s future is important for Danish football and it means that players who want to switch to clubs for playing time find them quickly” Morten Olsen said.

“I expect him (Bendtner) to find a new club in a few days. Among the (Denmark) players looking for clubs, we are expecting a clarification from Nicklas Bendtner, Romme Dahl, and Christian Poulsen”

Nicklas Bendtner was left out of the Arsenal squad which traveled to Udinese yesterday.
