REASONS FOR SELECTION
Truth be told, enough is enough! Arsene Wenger has to cut out his obsession with the erratic Olivier Giroud and his undervaluing of Lucas Perez.
The Arsenal boss is treating Perez the way he treated Joel Campbell last season and treating Giroud the same way he treated Giroud last season. Regardless of the efforts of the former, there is scarcely a place in the starting eleven but the latter enjoys unconditional faith from the manager.
While the only change which should made to the back four is Hector Bellerin coming in for Gabriel, there has to be a host of alterations in attack where Theo Walcott, Lucas Perez and even Danny Welbeck deserve a starting berth.
Walcott’s encouraging record in big games and against Chelsea in particular should be the only reason why he gets the nod over Perez because even the Englishman has his own Giroud-like moments of not showing up when needed.
